Awkward

Top | ASOS Petite
Skirt | ASOS
Cardigan | Zara
Shoes | Schutz
Bag | Mulberry

Ordered this top from ASOS some time back and when it came, I was totally not expecting the colour to be what it is. I had a hard time trying to match it because I felt that this particular shade of green was kind of weird/awkward (and not the shade I initially expected). Decided to go with dark indigo denim and grey (I don't know why either lol maybe I'm just throwing colours I like together) and I guess it worked out pretty well haha. I love such necklines and they suit me very well because I have a long slender neck but it sucks because it's always difficult for me to find a good strapless bra because size 30/65-underbust is seldom sold in Singapore either have straps that are too loose or cups that are too small. Nothing seems exceptionally out-of-place in these photos but when I was shooting them, I had to constantly readjust my outfit just so that the unsightly undergarment lines wouldn't show as much (gotta get it right while shooting because I seldom edit my photos unless it desperately needs to be brightened - LAZY). Hopefully something well-fitted will come my way soon.

Casual Pastel Pockets

Lyocell shirt | Zara
Tailored shorts | Mango
Viscose tank | Monki
Rectangle necklace | ASOS
Wishbone necklace | Thrifted
Watch | Agnès b.

As casual as things can get. I love shirts because I can wear them in so many different ways - as a shirt itself, layer as an outerwear, tied around the waist etc. This grey shirt is made from 100% lyocell, one of my favourite biodegradable material. It's supersoft and comfortable and well, I didn't mind its overly oversized fit so yaye another great staple in my wardrobe.
It's pretty cool how the huge-ass grungy looking pockets on my shirt contrast with the small prim and proper pocket on my shorts. It wasn't till I looked at the photos that I realised what a contrast it was.

Sole

Cami top | ASOS
Denim skirt | Mango
Bag | Furla
Necklace | thrifted
Watch & leather bracelet | Agnès b.
Shoes | SCHUTZ via Robinsons

I was first attracted to this pair of shoes because of the subtle stud details on it. And great, it has my favourite covered toe shape - pointed. Then, I realised it was pony hair - in navy. Then, I saw the sole.  And I was sold. Such anti-slip goodness. The grooved rubber soles make the entire shoe look way more special than it would have been without it (imo). It brings so much more attitude to the shoes (and is way safer to wear on rainy days lol).
I like jazzing up a plain outfit with shoes with nice details and this was the perfect look for a trip to the doctors some time back. I like to just add a touch of chic element to an otherwise casual and simple outfit.

Shot by Leona | Part C(assandra Bralet)

Here's the final look Leona shot for me (check out the first look and second look too)!

I've been wanting to style an outfit like this in a long while but have yet to meet any photographers whom I felt might be able to/appropriate to shoot such an outfit with. When Leona and I arranged to go out shooting something together, I thought, this is it. This outfit, to me, is all about laid-back sexiness. It's what I would want to wear all day (maybe not those sky high heels, though) on a weekend and laze around (with no pervs staring whatsoever). I'd say Leona's photography really did justice to the gorgeous bralet and still having the chill/casual/laidback ish vibe I was hoping to portray.

Let's talk about this AMAZING BRALET, shall we?
As soon as I saw it, I added it to cart and checked out right away. Thank god I did. Next time I checked, my size (I'm wearing xs) was sold out. It comes in 2 colours - Moonbeam and Mint Tint. I was so tempted to order both colours but decided to try out the size before getting both, and I had such a difficult time deciding which colour to get. In the end, I ordered Mint Tint. And after I tried it on, the first thing I did was to go on to the website to purchase it in Moonbeam too. BUT. It was sold out in my size, sigh. It fits me pretty well, other than the back being a little looser around the waist than I liked it to be but else, all's great and super comfy. Personally, I feel that longline bralets offer more support (and thus are more comfortable) than most normal bralets. This one might just be the prettiest piece of (non-black) lace in my closet.

And so I paired it with light coloured jeans (distressed, of course!) and my trusty (super old) thick knitted cardigan for this outfit, together with beige strappy heels (petite girls' best friend). This pair of heels might just be one of my highest pair (for now) but they're surprisingly easy to walk around on even ground. The last time I wore it out on the uneven road, I held on to Ian (still looking cool, I hoped) really tightly in case I fall (and I had to walk downslope backwards) LOL.

Loads of thanks to Leona for helping me shoot this look (and the previous two looks)!!

Disclaimer: All my looks were worn only for the photoshoot. I didn't go walking around Singapore wearing the outfits we photographed.
