Seeing these photos with this bag makes me sad. These photos were taken some time back and the straps on this bag has died on me. Again. I guess I have been really stuffing the life out of it :/ Sucks though, because I really like the simplistic style of it and well, its black.  I've been trying to find another everyday bag similar to this (where I can throw all my stuff in, really.) but it's really a tough hunt.

Got this blouse (without trying, and it fits (UK6)!) during a day trip to Birmingham last winter and I loveeee it. Love a good v-neck and this one isn't overly low-cut. The cut on the back is unique too, with a 'semi-open' design. And of course, I was attracted by the colour combination too. Love the hint of dove-grey colour, a shade of grey I  don't already have in my wardrobe!

Oh and check out that cool vintage looking car in the backdrop! Found it somewhere near my home and decided I was gonna shoot around the area.

Here's another of my texture mixing: silk and tweed! And of course (faux) leather and studs on my feet. I can't get enough of the sheer back of this amazingly soft and comfortable silk blouse. It's entirely opaque at the front but slightly sheer on the back, the perfect top to wear to work (under a blazer) and out for drinks at night! This outfit has a really feminine silhouette, I must admit haha. It's not usually something I'd go for (I didn't know what had gotten into me that day) but the shoes really add a lot of edginess to the whole look! Those studs. They look really lethal (and really hurts because I kicked myself accidentally several times) but the heel height is perfect for me and it fits well too.

Casual Sunday

Picked up this dual coloured cardigan at Robinsons some time back. It's super soft and has a long split at the sides. There are pockets too, which I love. (I'm a huge fan of garments with pockets).
This simple look is one I wear a lot, which includes monotone basics. This cardigan makes a normal outfit more interesting with its details and colours, creating a more interesting everyday look.
I have a new found love - Zara jeans! I used to not be able to fit them because they were always too big for me but this year, my bum has decided to finally grow a little and jeans that fit are easier to find now! Zara jeans are super comfortable and well made (although they're very long for my petite frame). I do have to alter the length for almost every pair I get from Zara but sometimes, rolling the hem up, like how I worn mine in this outfit, works too. Altering the length of jeans is a lot less complicated than altering the area at the waist (and a lot cheaper too).

My favourite skater skirt! I've worn it tons because it is so comfy (surprise surprise, I didn't need to alter it at all!) and it's black based so it goes well with almost everything else I have in my wardrobe. I bought it in Nottingham at the start of 2014 and it was one of my favourite purchases that trip (other than my Mini Papier haha). Love the peek of lace from my favourite underwired full lace bralette.

Also, this zara tee is very weird. Everytime I wash it, the sleeves get longer LOL. Good thing is, the sleeves (and hem) were basically cut-off and undone so I can always trim the sleeve length whenever I want to haha.

This outfit is all about the mix of fabrics/materials. There's knit, pleater and tweed - three different materials which are not commonly worn in Singapore because they're heavier than other fabrics and Sg's weather is warm as ****. However, my knit top is short sleeved and the shorts are made from lightweight pleater too (plus, they're shorts!). The tweed jacket can be thrown on indoors where there's air conditioner et viola! I love short sleeved/sleeveless knit tops so I can layer them with an outerwear (because I LOVE layering haha).

Scored this distressed denim jacket in the sale last summer and it's one of my favourite denim jackets now. A bit toooo oversized because M was the only size left (but one size down wouldn't have made much difference, right? Haha). I love the pockets, all the rips and the longline design. Longline denim jackets are not very common (to me) and I was so glad to spot this in the sale amongst other denim jackets at Zara! The rest on the rack were acid washed but I'm not a fan of acid wash so I was so lucky to have spotted this one! This jacket can probably add a punch of attitude to any outfit - even a usual tee & shorts combo.
