Grey Boots

Leather jacket | All Saints
Tee | The Kooples
Denim shorts | Pull & Bear
Boots | Marks & Spencer (sold out, love this and this too)
Bag | Mulberry
Watch | Hugo Boss
Sunglasses | Super Sunglasses
Leather bracelet | Agnès B.

Spotted this pair of boots in M&S last winter in Nottingham and I fell in love with it instantly. I love grey and I haven't got any ankle boots in this colour. However, it was £50 and isn't made of genuine  leather. I couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a pair of shoes that isn't even leather so I held myself back and walked away. Super proud of myself for that! A couple of weeks after, I went into M&S on boxing day AND VIOLÀ! It was on sale, 50% off. SCORE!! I almost squealed in the shop and was soooo glad to see it there on sale on boxing day. I love the heel height - it is the perfect mix of comfort and height oomph.

If it isn't overly warm in Singapore, I could seriously wear this outfit all the time. I love this leather jacket to bits. It's definitely my favourite leather biker jacket. The leather is crazily soft and supple. I bought it in size UK8 because I wanted to be able to wear knit sweaters under it during winter, though the sleeves are a little long for me. However, with the zips on the sleeves zipped up, my wrists are a lot freer and adds a little edge to the outfit.

I love painting my nails in a dark colours (I think light/pastel/beige-ish tones look really weird on my nails, I have no idea why) and sometimes, I like painting on nail in a different colour from the rest, like how I had my nails painted in these photos.

D I N O ! !

Dino tunic/dress & black and blue leather bracelet | Agnès b.
Tights | ASOS
Sneakers | Supra
Watch | Nixon
Grey studded leather bracelet | Balenciaga
Sunglasses | Retrosuperfuture

I am absolutely in love with all things dinosaur from Agnès b and when I saw this tee.... well you guys know what happened. It's such an easy piece, to wear with tights like how I did or to wear with jeans/shorts/skirts and even over another dress. I love how the dino print isn't just at the front only. Part of the print stretches all the way to the side/back. It's little details like this that captures my eye!

Borrowed my mum's sunglasses because I love prints on the inside! I always like a good pair of tortoise shell framed shades and this pair has such a gorgeous 'interior' too. I didn't know much about this sunglasses brand before my mum and I purchased this pair. According to the salesman, it's the same brand as the black pair Psy wore in his Gangnam Style MV. (I really am not a fan of that song). Random fact aside, it's really well made (in Italy) and the shape looks fine on both my mum and I. Really, we were just sold by the superb quality and the gorgeous print on the inner side haha.

Shot by Leona | Part B(asics With a Twist)

Photos by Leona aka OHNANAZ
Leather jacket | Selected Femme (via ASOS)
Pleather shorts | H&M
Leather heels | Kurt Geiger
Sunglasses | SUPER by RETROSUPERFUTURE
White shirt | Zara Girls

The next (out of 3) looks I shot with Leona; check out the first one too if you haven't!

Obviously, the 'basics' I refer to in the title are actually items which are considered a must-have basic in my wardrobe (or probably the wardrobe of every other fashionista I know)! A good leather jacket can make the simplest of outfits really chic. There's no denying my love for leather, especially leather jackets. And (almost) everyone in super sunny Singapore owns a pair of shorts, right? I found this faux leather shorts at H&M and yaye I'm so glad it fits (I'd be even happier if it was genuine leather, though). Only downside is that it gets a little sticky around the waistband if I start to sweat ._.

Now, on to this leather jacket. Amazing, I know. When I saw it on sale on ASOS I just had to get it. Nevermind the overlong sleeves (my short arms expected that), a grey leather biker jacket wasn't easy to come by PLUS this isn't just a plain grey leather jacket. The grey gradient really got to me (that's the twist I was talking about lolol). I'm not usually a fan of dip dye/tie dye (still aren't) and all those stuff but there's just something about the colours on this jacket that I love. Or rather, colour (singular), since there're only light grey, grey and dark grey lol. Maybe that's why I like it - it's like bringing all my favourite shades of grey together on one jacket.

And finally, the most basic item (literally) - a plain white shirt. I might have just found the perfect white shirt (for me) Finally, no overlong sleeves and length. The material is super comfortable and breathable too. Just, perfect. Thank god for Zara Girls.

Oh and did I mention, these heels are one of my most comfortable pair of heels (I can run in them!). I love heels with minimal platform and pointy toes are my thing. I've bought several pointy flats/heels during my europe/uk trip so far, can't wait to style them back in Singapore! I don't really want to wear them while I'm here because the weather can be super unpredictable sometimes and I don't want to get caught in the rain while wearing my new shoes. And I think I should start praying - that they can all fit into my suitcase when I'm going back to Singapore.

Stay tuned for my third look and thanks for reading!
