PerkbyKate | Longline Bralette

photos of me by Yueli

Cropped top (UK2) | ASOS Petite
Longline bralet (Swan) | PerkbyKate (black sold out, white here)
Skirt (XS) | Love, Bonito
Jacket | Thrifted
Boots | Office via ASOS

So, my fav local lingerie label Perk by Kate celebrated another milestone (+ launched a new collection) yesterday! Popped by with Limin & Yueli; amazing bralettes with crazy pretty lace. Can't wait for more, much love for Kate and team!

My favourite bralettes are longline ones and its instead of pairing it with my usual favs- muscle tanks and vneck tees, I went with a super cropped top. Love how the lace peeks out at the bottom!

B O M B E R J A C K E T

Bomber jacket | Izzue
Shoes | Topshop
Asymmetrical knit skirt | Australia
Necklace | Agnès b.

Scored this denim-lookalike bomber jacket from I.T. Singapore when it was on sale and I am super pleased with everything about it. I tried on 3 sizes (XS, M & XL, I think) in the shop and had a really hard time deciding between XS and M but I decided to go with M. I love how oversized it fits me (without crazily long sleeves, although the sleeves are very baggy on me). XS fits me well but I prefer the oversized fit somehow. Love how it looks like denim but is actually super soft and cosy. Black details on non-black items always attract me because majority of the items in my wardrobe are black, making mix-matching so much easier. And those side slit pockets stole my heart (and money).

Leather X Studs

Skirt | Zara Girls
Shoes | Zara
Jacket | H&M
Blouse | Trucco

The print on this skirt is not the kind of print I'd go for usually but the material is really nice and soft, and fits really well! No surprise, it's from one of my favourite places to shop - Zara Girls. Perfect for petite girls like me (under 1.6m). Also, the waist fits way better and I don't need to alter the length of any trousers.

This will probably be the last time I wear this pair of heels. As soft as the leather is (and how perfect the studs are - black and matte - my absolute favourite), they have became so uncomfortable to walk in. That may be due to the fact that I bought this in one size bigger than my usual size though lol (but it fitted well when I first tried it). As with all leather, the leather straps on this pair probably expanded after several wears and became too loose for me. My feet kept sliding forward and I was causing so much pain I wanted to buy another pair of shoes and wear it right away (but I couldn't find any I liked that day) lol. So I wore it till I got home and now it's just sitting at a corner in my house, banished from my shoe cupboard (my dad got a huge shoe cupboard made for my shoes, mainly because he couldn't stand seeing them lying around the house but still, yaye!).

RIP, gorgeous heels. Or maybe I'll see you again someday.

Pastel Houndstooth

Skirt, heels & necklace | Taipei
Draped outerwear | Izzue
Bag | Longchamp

Scored this gorgeous pair of faux leather heels in Taipei (wufenpu) in Summer (2014) for only 200nt (~ 10 SGD) because it was the last size available - and it fits me perfectly! It's made in Korea and VERY comfortable. I bought it despite the gold detail (I think it's a nice detail but I don't usually wear gold) because I always love a nice pointed pair of heels and I was going to a club at night but didn't bring any heels from Sg. Plus it's textured, something I don't already have in black. I survived the entire night in this pair and my feet were barely sore. I can even manage a bit of running in them! One of my best buys that trip.

Added this adorable little squirrel necklace to my collection of dainty necklaces that trip too, at a little boutique called Orange (if I didn't remember wrongly) in the dong qu area. It's my second time visiting that shop and I bought tons of accessories on both occasions. Some of their accessories might be a bit common but they do have some really special ones.

I'm a huge fan of houndstooth prints and when I saw this skirt in Taipei (in the dong qu area too) in summer (2013) I just couldn't resist getting it. However, it only came in 1 size and was approx 3-4 sizes too big for me. But to be honest it was such a gorgeous print (plus it's PASTEL!) I didn't care. I bought it anyway and had it tailored to fit me - and one of the best things about the tailor I visit often: I can customise some little details if I wanted! I'm a huge fan of pockets and in this case, I requested for a pair of faux pockets to be made (with extra charges, of course) at the back of the skirt since there were a lot of cloth left after altering. It's subtle little details like that that makes my day!
