ROAD TRIP | MALAYSIA - YONG PENG | AUGUST 2015

Night view from my resort room

Dress | Religion Clothing UK
Shoes | Tangs Studio

Went on a road trip to Malaysia on 7-8 August 2015 with my parents and it was such an experience.

We spent so much time in the traffic that we spent more time driving than sleeping LOL. It was a 6 hours traffic jam (takes around 20-30 minutes without traffic jam) to the Malaysian customs and another 3 hours drive to Port Dickson. Stopped by Yong Peng for dinner and got to shoot some really cool photos (that dog sneaked up behind me and gave me a shock but it was friendly, thank god) just before it poured crazily. Continued on our drive to Port Dickson after dinner and checked in at around 9 pm (we left Singapore at around 10.40 am WTF). It was such a nerve wrecking drive on the highways in Malaysia because my parents didn't want any of us to drive above 130/140km/hr (all 3 of us took turns to drive) and the highways didn't have street lamps. Oh boy it was so dark. There were little lights along the sides of the lanes but that's about it. The cars go real fast, probably around 150 ish km/hr? Lots of tailgating experienced LOL.

Totally exhausted when we reached the resort in Port Dickson. That last photo is just amazing, isn't it? More on the resort in my next travel post!

M O N O S K E T C H

Well....my hat flew away so I had to get it back LOL.

Dress | Religion
Wool hat | H&M
Boots | Zara
Pleather jacket | ASOS Petite
Watch | Hugo Boss

This dress is makes looking chic so easy. Literally. I'm in love with the print and it is sooo insanely comfortable. It's one of the easiest thing to style in my wardrobe and I think this dress can never look bad. It doesn't have an overly low armhole so I can wear a normal wired bra underneath and it's neither too short nor long for me (because I altered the length to be THIS perfect for me lolol). In this outfit, I paired this dress with ankle boots but I'm sure it'll look amazing with stilettos/sandals/flats/knee-high boots too.

Look back at these photos, I miss my purple highlights and it's really making me tempted to get a part of my hair coloured again! Maybe in the summer, I will.

Grey Gradient

Oversized tank top | Zara
Jacket | The Scarlet Room
Boots | Hugo Boss
Necklaces | Agnès b. & Religion
Bralette | Urban Outfitters

Absolutely in love with this tank top from Zara. It's actually long enough for me to wear it as a dress and there's something about the extremely curved hem that really makes the look for me (though I don't usually like curved hems). This is one of my most worn date night outfits: comfort with several layers. I was really attracted to the unique grey gradient print on this Zara piece and it was so soft I just had to have it. Finding special grey pieces (or black) like this really makes my day because it's not always easy to chance upon interesting monochrome pieces. Without such items, my (mostly) grey and black wardrobe would consist of clothes which all look the same lolol.

Monte Carlo

Knit top | ASOS
Ridley Supersoft Ultra Skinny Jeans | ASOS Petite
Shoes | Robinsons
Necklaces | Agnès b. & Religion
Lipstick | Chanel Coco Rouge Shine

Rather than talking about my (rather casual) outfit in this post, I wnna share my favourite lipstick with y'all (obviously, I'm referring to the lipstick featured in some of the above photos!). I've never finished using any lipstick that I've tried previously, until I bought my first Chanel Coco Rouge Shine lipstick some time back. I used my first stick till it was literally can't be used without a brush anymore and I decided - I need another exact same one. I mentioned in my Halloween 2014 post some time back that I've never used any other lipstick other than those from the Coco Rouge Shine collection till I got a got a deep purple lipstick for Halloween. I'm actually pretty proud of myself for (finally) finishing an entire lipstick haha. It warms my heart (I don't know why lol) to see how much 'newer' the new lipstick looks lol. (No shit, a new lipstick is supposed to look newer than an old one, I know).

Right now, I always have 3 Coco Rouge Shine lipsticks with me (and of course, one of them is the colour shown above). I use number 69 for casual days like when I went to school last time and grocery shopping, just so that I have some colour on my face (instead of looking like I'll faint any moment). It is (very) slightly peachy-pink and is the lightest  colour I own. Number 62 (in photos) is my favourite and it's a slightly darker pinkish colour (not the barbie kind of pink) which is great for everyday use. The last colour I have is number 84, which is the reddest and I usually apply it when I go to events (esp if my entire outfit is black) and date nights. Still, at events, if my lipstick fades away after I eat something, I'll use this colour (62) if I don't have the time to touch up my Number 84 lipstick with a mirror because I can easily apply 62 perfectly without looking in a mirror!
